God Is My Friend / Dios es mi amigo … Finding the Joy in the Lord as a Bilingual Preschool Age Child
This morning’ s sermon from Pastor Willy Rice of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida was the 4th in a series of messages about keeping your faith and holding on to the true greatness and goodness of God while all else seems to be falling apart around you.
Pastor so inspires me, and I am so thankful that my sister brought me to this church well over a year ago to experience a true relationship with the Lord. It is because of this newfound love and joy that I wrote the songs for our new Sing Praise for Children/Canta la alabanza para los niños Boca Beth CD and would love to share one of my favorite songs from that CD today.

*** I recall performing this song for the first time and wondering how I could bring the song to life for the more than 300 children in attendance. I got out a child’s toy and shared it with several children in the audience, I found a play broom and dust pan from the housekeeping area of the preschool and pretended to be cleaning, and I turned to the teachers around the room to be kind to with and presented a flower to them. ***
Bring this song to life for the children in your life today and sing about how Jesus is always watching and smiling as we create our own world of goodness here in Earth and find joy in our lives and in our hearts.
