It’s time to get back into a routine on my blog!
How many times do you think I have said THAT to myself over the years?
Either way, I would love some input on what you all would like to see. For instance, maybe a Music Monday, Tuesday Tips, and Fiesta Friday (where all kinds of things could enter the blog like contests, give aways, party ideas, free lesson plan fun and so on).
As we wait to hear what you all have to say (comment below please), here is a chance to get our cool Rappin’ the Spanish Alphabet / Rappin’ el alfabeto español song off our 2nd Boca Beth bilingual music CD.

Send me an e-mail with ‘alphabet’ in the subject line to BocaBeth@msn.com and I will send you the MP3 version of this song within 48 hours! FREE!
Read what native Spanish speaker Anna Ortega-Shyne says about this song, “I have found that Boca Beth’s Alphabet song is the first song I have been able to use with my Spanish class. The song is accurate and presents ALL of the letters in the Spanish alphabet. I have never been able to use a recording of a Spanish alphabet song in class before, because the whole Spanish alphabet was not used in the song. I am excited that I am finally able to use a Spanish Alphabet song in my classroom! My kids love it too.”
Get your FREE MP3 of this bilingual song for children today by e-mailing BocaBeth@msn.com with ‘alphabet’ in the subject line. And don’t forget to comment below about what types of fun you would like to see on this blog.

Every spring Plumb Elementary School in Clearwater, Florida puts on a Bringing Spanish to Life! program for the entire first grade class and their families. Last night was this year’s rewarding and touching performance.

I can’t tell you how breathtaking it is when the curtains open and there stands 140+ first grade children all smiling and dressed in their Boca Beth t-shirts (each class with a different colored shirt!). It brings tears to my eyes.
They sang their little lungs out, did their cute little motions their teachers taught them, and the parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas cheered with a unified cheer! I once again was amazed at how quickly they learned Spanish in order to sing 13 songs featuring their new language of choice.
Thank you Plumb Elementary School first grade team, administration and staff for making my Boca Beth bilingual music come to life on stage with such wonderful enthusiasm. I am the one who is truly blessed.

Our winner really helped share the word about our Boca Beth fun products by blogging, tweeting and so on over the last week or so! Plus she told us this about what sets Boca Beth apart from the competition: I love that your DVD’s aren’t just about narration, but you are involved in engaging the kids to be involved and not just sit , listen, tune out. That’s the difference with the competition.
My thanks and congrats go out to Colette of this fun blog that shares Give Away news and just plain fun stuff to follow on her family. Click here to visit her blog.
She won a Boca Beth bilingual CD, DVD, a set of 8 of our adorable child-sized maracas, and two Boca Beth bilingual t-shirts.

Ahh…I love my Irish roots!
Mama would love being alive today, having Happy Hour just a little early, and sharing her Irish blessing with those within earshot. I know she is in Heaven, looking down on all four of her kids (I am the baby!) and so proud of each of us for leading such rewarding lives.

In honor of my mom and St. Patrick’s Day we will offer FREE standard domestic shipping today and throughout the rest of March 2009 on our Boca Beth fun and easy to use bilingual products for kids.

My daughter Megan loves, loves, loves watching Jon & Kate Plus 8, and she has gotten me hooked on the new shows. (She will watch re-runs of this reality TV show time and time again - not me!)

So when I was approached by Tamiko Kelly to contribute some cool Boca Beth products for the quintuplets of a couple in Texas who already have a darling daughter, I said “Yes! ¡Sí!” because I have always marveled at how parents of many multiples (3 and beyond!!!!!) both afford it financially and get the job done with the daily routine.
What particularly compelled me to share our Boca Beth music and movement fun were two main things:
Mom and Dad (Casey and Ethan) are Christian families who appear to live life with the Lord by their sides.
Plus they live in Texas, and any child in Texas MUST be able to communicate some in Spanish (even if their mommy and daddy speak ‘un poco’ / ‘a little’………..

It is truly about sharing our fun and easy way of bringing Spanish and English together for babies and toddlers with this bilingual approach because many, many of the experts say it is just as easy for a little one to learn two words for one item as it is to learn just one word. Our bilingual method works great even into the preschool years and early elementary years because these children are STILL mastering their native language.

I had the great pleasure to join a class of Early Childhood Education students at Gaither High School this morning for a one-hour presentation that I gave on why, when and how we should introduce Spanish and English to young children.

Preschool-aged children ready to learn with Boca Beth
These teens had already heard a lot about infant brain development, neural pathway connections for later life learning and the brain research associated with the learning that takes place during the first five years of life. Becky Burgue and her Little Wrangler Preschool had been featured in our Tampa Tribune newspaper, I e-mailed her, and I told her I would love to speak to her students that would soon be teaching the young children of our country.
She loved the idea, and we loved the time spent together this morning! They sang in Spanish and English with our Boca Beth bilingual music CDs, they moved & grooved to one of our music videos that play on The Education Channel and they learned a lot about the many benefits derived from introducing two languages during the first years of life.
Thanks Becky and students for opening your classroom and your minds to our Boca Beth Bilingual Program and Products.

For those of us who pitch our stories, our products, our trendy and topical ideas to national magazine publications like Parenting, Child, American Baby, Scholastic Parent & Child, Family and so forth, it is time to think Back to School!

Back to School with a Bilingual Backpack full of Spanish and English fun for children
I can’t imagine a parent in the United States who doesn’t feel the sense of urgency to help their child gain language learning skills associated with other world languages. Honestly - we are one of the few countries who does not provide their early learners (I am talking before the age of eight - ten here!) with the tools to learn many languages.
Let’s blaze a trail to helping our birth - five kids get a jump start for becoming lifetime language learners. And what two languages should we focus on? English and Spanish! Hands down! Those are the two languages children in our country of the US will find themselves needing more than French, Mandarin, Farsi, Sign or any of the other world languages.
Wish our Boca Beth Beginner Backpack buena suerte / good luck as we approach magazine editors and retail store buyers with its many benefits, package features and more than 200 words and 100 phrases presented in both Spanish and English via a fun and easy-to-understand bilingual presentation.

Thanks so much to Dr. Gina Fontana and our new amigas Dianne Waller and Nana for inviting us to be the Keynote for this terrific event held at Seminole Community College. We sure hope to go back next year as presenters on the topic of how fun, easy and important it is to introduce Spanish and English to children before the age of five!
