Wow! A potential new president coming right out and saying, “Every child should learn Spanish.” Now, I did not listen to his speech. I got clips of it on my Google Alerts.
What I am saying to you as the proud founder of The Boca Beth Program is that we have the solution right here for this country with the most fun, the easiest, the most affordable and realistic solution to introducing Spanish right alongside English!
This is our year Obama! This is our year all of you monolingual parents and teachers who are frustrated and can’t seem to figure out how to give your child the jump start they need on learning Spanish as a 2nd language or - for the Latino parents - how to maintain your native language for your child as he learns English with pride!
We are going to do it, do it, do it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Educating! ¡Sea feliz educando!

No one said it was going to be easy, and the past four days proved that right when it comes to sharing my Boca Beth Program with the world!
Ahhhhh….exhibit halls, breakout sessions, hundreds of new people wanting to know about my Boca Beth bilingual music CDs, DVDs, and books for children ages birth - ten. It’s exhilarating but exhausting!
Boca Beth motivates the NAFCC attendees with music and movement fun!
What I loved most this weekend at NAFCC Conference were the new family child care providers who came up to our adorable exhibit booth in the Schaumburg Convention Center, had never heard one word about Boca Beth, and ended up buying a Boca Beth Bilingual Backpack because they fell in love with the idea!
Thank you Illinois for being such a great state to host such a great conference. Thank you mi hermana/my sister Mary for working with me and sharing YOUR passion for this fun bilingual program I have created to introduce Spanish and English together even when or even if the parents, teachers and providers are monolingual themselves.

Michelle of MomsTalkRadio.com conducted a great interview with me, Boca Beth, and I would love you to listen in! Click here to listen in on this short but edutaining radio interview!
I speak to why you should introduce a second (or third and fourth) language to children before the age of five (it helps promote early reading skills, develops the cognitive area of the child’s brain PLUS helps your child gain a lifetime of language learning skills when it’s easier to do so).
I also address the when you should try to get the language learning going (between the ages of birth and ten is best according to every expert in the field of early childhood education and linguistics PLUS I speak about how, as a monolingual parent or teacher, you can do this introduction of the second language easily and in the car, in the classroom, out at the park, in the kitchen - making it a part of your daily routine which is essential to a young child having the repetition necessary for learning any new concept).
And finally I speak with Michelle about how interaction is the key to beginning the second language journey - that playing with your child as you introduce an engaging DVD that speaks both in the native language and the new language is key along with using music to teach the child Spanish and English together (provided those are the two languages in your family’s life!).
Again … I invite you to listen in by clicking here … then invite me for an interview on your local TV station, radio station or favorite print publication! I love sharing my Boca Beth passion for second language learning with young children!

That is why this Boca Beth bilingual fun stuff works so great! Take some familiar tunes you and the children know, add in a new language right next to the native language and you have yourself a child learning lifetime language skills the fun and easy way. So cool! So very cool!
Thank you editors of Tot Trends and Kids Trends for wanting to share my passion for second language learning with the young children of our world.

It really helps to have people in the media notice you when you are a small entrepreneur (in the scheme of the big guys out there!!!!) with very little money to advertise and market with. So when someone who writes for and works with a publication like Tot Trends and Kids Trends notices you and your product, you are beaming with pride.

That’s me - Boca Beth - beaming with pride. Thank you / Gracias.

WOW!!!!!!!!!
Double WOW!!!!!!!!
I fly in from Kentucky after being away for three and a half days to conduct Head Start Training with the Jefferson County Schools Early Head Start / Jump Start Program. I arrived back at Tampa International Airport around 12 noon today, do a live event at the Upper Tampa Bay Public Library in Westchase Area and finally get to my home office for my Boca Beth Program to fill orders.
I hop in the car with the orders to get to the post office by 6 pm and hear Jayar of The Joy FM talking about a listener’s son who is having a birthday and how he would like to share this cool song………….and all of a sudden I hear my Boca Beth Happy Birthday / Feliz cumpleaños rendition!!!!!!!!!!! I was so thrilled and so proud and so touched!!!

If you want to hear this bilingual song for kids on YouTube with a cool free lesson click right here. I had sent the MP3 version to Jayar this past Saturday because one of his little girl’s was celebrating her birthday, and I thought she and her family would get a kick out of it! Never did I imagine that proud daddy would play my music on air on my favorite radio station. Listen in to The Joy FM sometime by clicking here - they stream their amazing Christian music daily.
Thank you Jayar. Gracias Jayar. It meant so much to me to hear this rendition of the Happy Birthday song where children sing with smiles and cha-cha-chas along with me, Boca Beth.

Live events, outside, the first part of June, sweltering heat and humidity!
Sounds like fun, eh?
NOT!!!
Oh…..don’t get me wrong. The children, their moms and my daughter and her friend who helped me out this past weekend with our Boca Beth bilingual music and movement fun had a blast! I think it was me, the gal jumpin’ around like a teenage engaging the preschool age children and beyond with her song and dance routine in Spanish and English, who walked away thinking, “Did I just do that for real in this heat?!?!?!?”
We have one more June 14th, and then I am going to have to pass……………….I think I will stick to indoor, air conditioned venue thank you/gracias.
How about a little YouTube fun with Boca Beth Spanish and English fun featuring one of the many songs we sang and danced and played to this weekend at The Learning Express in Westchase. (Just click the sentence before this and you will be led right to the fun “What Time is it?” song set up in a true bilingual format for easy learning, long term retention and high levels of self confidence!

So, I am standing outside my booth at the Florida Homeschooling Convention at Rosen Shingle Creek (FPEA is the correct acronym!!!) and some children who are part of a lovely family I met a couple of years ago at the H.E.R.I Convention come up to me to visit. One of the boys has a little play gun that lights up at one end and then he tells me the trigger also ‘works.’ What I did not know (but found out very quickly!) was that meant it ZAPPED me with an almost electric shock! WOW!!!
I got so motivated to share more than just this free preschool lesson (but I am a Christian woman and won’t share now what I wanted to share back then after being ZAPPED and laughed at!!!). Enjoy this bilingual lesson fun straight from my Boca Beth Educator’s Club and watch this free YouTube Lesson we posted from our Boca Beth Program simply by clicking here.
Making it fun & making it a challenge is what learning is all about, and teaching how to tell time is no different! Boca Beth introduces time in Spanish and English with an echo song!!!
Suggested Classroom Activities to use with this song:
What Time Is It? (Off My More Boca Beth CD - click here to see the CD) This is an echo song. I ask the children if they remember what an echo is. I praise the correct answer person and ask them to be my echo in this fun song about telling time in Spanish and English. I use a white wall clock from Target that costs $3.99 as my BOCA clock after putting four BOCA stickers at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions! If the children are old enough to get the concept, they can act out the time of day while singing about it. We hold our arms out in the position of 8 o.clock, then straight above our heads for 12 o.clock, then pointing down towards the ground for 6:30. These movements truly incorporate learning for the auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. They all love it!
